Now that DA is making Eclipse permanent soon, and I know a lot of people will be turned off of the site because of it, I want to know something that has been on my mind for a while...Is it allowed to submit SSMU works on other sites (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.) or is SSMU strictly a DeviantArt thing? I'd ask SharmClucas, since she's the original creator of SSMU as a whole, but she's been inactive for years and I can't find any other way of contacting her. And I don't know how frequently Verdy makes an appearance, but I could ask her about the front base.

I think if SSMU was available and SSMU groups were founded on other sites, it would help bring in more potential artists as new members and contributors, and allow those in the group to show their work in their other profiles. Honestly, I don't know if that would work in Instagram since you can't save or download photos directly from the site.

Answers, please?
I looked over at the journal for SharmClucas' SSMU account here The SSMU! FAQWondering what this SSMU thing is? Here's some Questions and Answers that should help you out.
Q: What is SSMU! anyway?
A: SSMU! stands for Sailor Scout Make Up! Or Sailor Senshi, I'm not picky. It began years ago as a project to make a Sailor Generator for KiSS that actually looked like Sailor Moon. However, the coding got too confusing, the doll got too big and I just didn't want to do it anymore. So instead of making a generator, I used the images to make webdollz. I intend to make images of all the major characters (minus civilians) and their forms. I'm just going very slow.
Q: What is a KiSS doll?
A: Sadly, I don't actually get this question, instead people assume it's a webdoll. It is NOT. KiSS is short for Kisakae Set System, and is a program for making paper dolls for the computer, though it can be much more complex and interesting than that. Often the images used are made with pixels, but they don't have to be. Usually the images are not to be used elsewhere.
Q: Where's the do
There doesn't seem to be any implication that you can't post your own dolls to other sites. I've thought about posting my own dolls elsewhere, mostly Tumblr and another site called Pillowfort (which is currently in closed Beta, so the user base isn't huge, but users can give away invite codes). I do agree though that the SSMU community should expand, especially since DA is showing no signs of stopping Eclipse (which I HATE).
Yeah, I just really wasn't sure because the FAQs and group rules did not make that clear. And, yes, it should expand to other sites if too many SSMU dollers are going to leave DA over the Eclipse thing, which I don't like either (only slightly good things related to Favorites management, but still not ideal)... I won't leave this site because I'd be throwing away all that I've done and made here, but it is frustrating. It's like the site's got me on a string... :faint:

Once I have more free time to do fashion sketch doodles with my new XP Deco v1 tablet, I'll start using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr more often to share those (might need to make an artist account separate from my personal ones on the first two).
Oh, this might be a little late, but I was trying to find something in regards to Verdy's base

Front base set by Verdy-K
, and found a comment there I asked her back when I was on my old account for exactly this question. She said that yes, you can post dolls using her base on other sites!

Uh, I want to create a separate SSMU folder for Star Trek, but I can't rename the folder. A little help please?
